The Wedding
Let's get the particulars of this wedding straight..
The Couple
Bride: Kara Beth (as described by Patrick)
"Kara Beth is way out of my league. She's smart, funny and kind. She's a great cook and a total babe.
"We compliment each other very well. Kara Beth is the brains of the operation. She excelled as a student, earning an undergraduate degree from Wittenberg University, and a masters degree from the University of Dayton. And incredibly, she earned both degrees in just six years!
"She's brilliantly organized, detailed and meticulous. Somehow, she's been able to simultaneously work as the Coordinator for Student Conduct the University of New Haven, AND the wedding coordinator for the Connecticut River Museum, AND help me run three businesses, all from an apartment with no oven or cooktop. She astounds me on a daily basis.
"When I first met Kara Beth, I thought that because she was so beautiful, she was probably also shallow and self-centered. I couldn't have been more wrong (which is a reoccurring theme in our relationship...). Kara Beth is kind, loving, creative, interesting and thoughtful. She's my best friend and the absolute woman of my dreams. I can't wait to get to be her husband, and to be a parent with her."
Groom: Patrick (as described by Kara Beth)
"Patrick is one of the smartest people I know! His love of learning is so inspiring and one of my favorite qualities about him. He started his collegiate journey at American University and finished at the University of Dayton. While at UD, he was the president of his class and had a weekly tv show with his house mates (youtube—heyogrady). He is currently using his talents to run a software startup called AgentBright!
"I was drawn to Patrick the first moment I saw him. I like to think it was love at first sight, but it just took him a little longer then me to see it! After our first date, I told my girl friends that he was the one and I was going to marry him (you can confirm that with Dianna & Lisa). There is something so special about Patrick and I love that I still feel butterflies in my stomach when I see him after a long day!
"It really amazes me how two people, who are really quite opposites in many ways, can fit so perfectly. Patrick loves to explore and usually runs on what I like to call, “Patrick time.” It took me a while to learn Patrick time (I still don’t know if I completely understand it), but it helps to keep me grounded. Patrick helps me take time to smell the roses and really enjoy life for what it has to offer. He has this amazing ability to bring out the best in a situation and more importantly, the best in those around him. I love that he makes me want to be my best self!
"I was blessed when Patrick came into my life and I am honored that he wants to spend the rest of his life with me. I am excited for our future adventures. Patrick is an amazing teacher and I know that he will be an awesome dad! I am really excited about starting a family with him."
